President Donald Trump launched a Twitter tirade on the topic of the caravan of illegal immigrants heading for the US southern border after Mexico seemed unable to stop the large flow of people.
Speaking on social media this morning, Mr Trump said: “Sadly, it looks like Mexico’s Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency. Must change laws!”
He then went on to blame his rival political party, the Democrats, for not allowing him to change the US’s immigration laws, something he believes is necessary. Mr Trump stated: “Every time you see a Caravan, or people illegally coming, or attempting to come, into our Country illegally, think of and blame the Democrats for not giving us the votes to change our pathetic Immigration Laws! Remember the Midterms! So unfair to those who come in legally.”

Lastly, as promised last week, the US President also addressed the topic of financial aid to Central American nations and vowed to cut back on supporting them, saying: “Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the U.S. We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign aid routinely given to them.”

The news comes as the migrant caravan has split into several ones. The total number of people on the move by now counts well over 7,000.
Estimates put the number of migrants who left Ciudad Hidalgo for Tapachula on Sunday at 5,000 while a Mexican federal police commander gave a lower number of 3,000.

Another 1,500 migrants are estimated to still be waiting to cross at the Guatemalan side of the border. Meanwhile, a newly formed group of 1,000 mainly Honduran migrants has also set off for the US.

Unless the people are stopped, it is clear the caravan will become a major topic during the Midterm Elections of 6 November.

We may have to take the defense of our borders into our own hands.
Militias rise, We ABSOLUTELY will. This one is up to US. We should already have caravans of Militia heading that way. I am ready to go. If these idiots saw images of Caravans, of MILLIONS of Americans headed to the border, armed to the teeth, they would turn around. People are so weak and pathetic. They would rather whine and cry, then take action themselves.
