At least two explosions have been reported in the City of Brussels. The Central Station is being evacuated as we speak.
Belgian Police have stated a person wearing an explosive vest was neutralized in the station. The local law enforcement stated publicly there was an “incident involving an individual”.
Reports now state that a Muslim Suicide Bomber blew himself up within the Capital’s station.
A fire department spokesman has confirmed that an explosion occurred at the station but at this time it remains unclear as to whom was responsible.
Shots rang out soon after 9 pm as police and soldiers moved in and killed at least one suicide bomber. Images spreading across social media show an individual on fire which could possibly have been the suicide bomber which had his vest malfunction after being shot.
The City's main square, Central Place is also under an emergency evacuation police stated. Brussels Central Station is one of three major terminals within the city.
In March of last year, 32 people were killed in attacks on the Brussels airport and the Metro System.
Both of those attacked were claimed by the Islamic State group. Undoubtedly there is a war occurring in Europe by Radical Islamic Invaders, and only one side appears to be fighting.
Reports suggest that several soldiers who were guarding the station neutralized one person inside the station after an initial small explosion and there are no other casualties other than the perpetrator at this time.
The suspect was described to be wearing a rucksack packed with explosives around Belgium's busiest railway station.
The suicide bomber allegedly shouted 'Allahu Akbar' and triggered an explosive vest at Brussels Central Station has been gunned down and killed by soldiers.
A railway sorting agent, Nicolas Van Herrewegen told reporters he had gone down to the station's mezzanine level when he heard someone shouting. He said, "Then he cried 'Allahu Akbar' and he blew up a trolley.” Allahu Akbar is “God Is Great” in Arabic.
"I was behind a wall when it exploded. I went down and alerted my colleagues to evacuate everyone. He the suspect was still around but after that, we didn't see him. It wasn't exactly a big explosion but the impact was pretty big," he added. "People were running away."
Soldiers and police officials guide terrified commuters out of the station amid fears the bomber may not be acting alone on the incident.
On Twitter-wide reports suggest that fear and panic is spreading but authorities are urging the citizens to comply with the demands of first responders.
Sources from within the Police Response team have said the attacker was seriously injured in the blast, and subsequently died from his wounds.
“Efforts were made to save him, but he is dead,” said one of the sources, who went on to say that “the situation is now under control.”
“The attacker was shot several times, and it appears that he triggered a device.” said the source. There are no other casualties.
