The Democratic and Republican congressional baseball teams went ahead with their annual game just 36 hours after a shooter unleashed gunfire at a GOP team practice.

The first pitch was thrown out by U.S. Capitol Police officer David Bailey, who was wounded in the shooting while protecting members of Congress. His and Special Agent Crystal Grin's bullets killed the deranged ex-Bernie Sanders staffer who was targeting republican lawmakers for assination. Bailey's first pitch was an emotional moment and show of strenth.
