Katy Perry is on a marketing spree for her new album, Witness. She went to the extent of politicizing her album in what appears to be a covert operation to boosts sales. The idea is to get you fork over $20 to get her to stop chanting.
The mainstream media took it to heart and held an interview with Perry, who apparently claims that President Donald Trump helped her achieve the full sexual awakening that she was in dire need of to complete her transformation.
Wonder what kind of transformation? From the pop princess to the contemporary artist. Some argue that she’s just trying to remain relevant. However, Perry, who was raised by extremely conservative, Pentecostal minister parents said the President led her into dealing with the misogyny she experienced as a child.
Perry did not issue any evidence to prove that Trump hates women. But she had the guts to claim that she was retriggered by a big male that didn’t see women as equal. And that had been, unfortunately, a common theme in her upbringing.
Perry claimed that she went to that dark place that she had been avoiding, and she dug out the mold. The narrative behind Perry as mind blowing, she claims that she was able to get in touch with her inner womanhood and screw up her courage in order to bleach her hair blonde and get a nose ring.
President Trump would probably consider the whole thing a compliment. Perry says that her experience being triggered by Trump has made her a better pop star, even if her latest album isn’t selling nearly as well as her previous efforts.
The adoption of such a response to the poor sales begs the question as to how the liberation of any kind has to do with President Trump’s victory and a pop princess who’s trying to shove her new album down our throats.
