A Florida man was seen getting out of his car after a road crash, then oddly taking off his clothes, casually walking away from the scene of the incident and then violently ripping the door handle of the deputy’s patrol car which responded to the scene on Wednesday.
Authorities have identified the man as 18-year-old Andrew Humphries. The Marion County Sheriff’s officials said in a statement that Humphries has been charged with one felony count of criminal mischief and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.
Dash cam video shows Humphries walking naked before the deputy gets near and stops him. When Humphries attempted to open the patrol car door, the deputy said: “That is not normal. You are absolutely naked, my man. Another thing not normal.”
There is no given explanation yet as to why Humphries decided to get naked after the crash, or if the man has mental issues.
Humphries has been accused also of damaging another deputy’s vehicle. He now remains in jail. According to jail records, Humphries is still without a lawyer.
