After a brief lapse in mass shootings, Americans received alerts Sunday morning that another had taken place in Jacksonville, Florida.
Police are responding to a Madden video game tournament where multiple people have been killed by gunfire. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office warned on Twitter, "Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY."

The Sheriff's Office reported at least one suspect was killed and it is unknown if there are more. Witnesses in the tournament suggested the shooter may have been an upset participant.

Local news reporter Vic Micolucci with WJXT-TV reported "multiple people" were shot at the tournament. The same news source reported that at least four people have died, but police have not issued an official number of wounded or dead. The shooting broke out at the Madden 19 Tournament at the GLHF Game Bar, according to the Twitter account of one of the event's organizers compLexity Gaming.

One of the tournament's participants was grazed in the head, Young Drini, and has made it out of the building and is safe according to compLexity's Twitter.
