Less than a week after right-wing radio host Alex Jones was targeted in a coordinated effort to deplatform him led by the major tech giants Google, Apple, and Facebook, Jones once again has been silenced but this time on Twitter. CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey defended not banning Alex Jones while his tech brethren urged him to follow suit, but it seems the pressure of the left has forced Dorsey's hand.

Jones' Twitter was suspended for one week for saying these words in a Periscope broadcast, "now is the time to act on the enemy" ahead of a "false flag" attack. Really? Maxine Waters calls for her supporters to attack people on the right including bullying high-level Trump administration out of restaurants and screaming outside their homes in large gatherings.
So how is it a black democratic congresswoman is allowed to call for people to "push back" against her political opposition yet when Alex Jones, a right-wing conservative, calls for action from his followers he is temporarily banned? Jones' statement was technically made on a different platform than Twitter yet he has been suspended on Twitter nonetheless. Is anyone starting to connect the dots here? How much longer will people tolerate Republican members of Congress being shadow-banned, conservative YouTubers attacked daily by having their videos flagged and demonetized, and in some cases actually physically assaulting them all because they don't agree with their opinions?

Twitter says they gave Jones a one-week suspension over his words "now is the time to act on the enemy" yet there are dozens upon dozens of Antifa accounts as well as accounts linked to known terrorist organizations and they are not suspended? There is a clear bias not just in the mainstream media but in the companies that literally rule the modern world of communication. How about disgraced former Disney director James Gunn who had hundreds of tweets referencing rape, enjoying pedophilia, and bestiality with children? How has Gunn not been suspended?

Jones' Twitter account remains visible but his ability to tweet or retweet has been limited for a week. The InfoWars Twitter account remains unaffected.

There are alternatives, we'll have to start using them very soon. Get used to life without corporate media platforms.
Here is the perfect solution to a lot of social media censorship: riot.im
You can read a lot about it, it's well documented.
Here's a summary: Matrix defines a set of open APIs for decentralised communication, suitable for securely publishing, persisting and subscribing to data over a global open federation of servers with no single point of control. Uses include Instant Messaging (IM), Voice over IP (VoIP) signalling, Internet of Things (IoT) communication, and bridging together existing communication silos - providing the basis of a new open real-time communication ecosystem.
So, you see a general idea of what it is. Now here's the good part. The application [ Riot ] at riot.im is _very_ useful. You can create end-to-end encrypted chats which means no logs and nothing can be read from a 3rd party. Just as well, you can create rooms where people join to chat. It's entirely anonymous, you can sign up for an account at matrix.org using Tor, plus, you can chat while proxied through Tor. So, that also means you could proxy through I2P or something of the sort. Matrix protocol and riot application are very very easy to use and are anonymous to the core.
I suggest that we use this for a number of reasons:
3. Encrypted (end to end, means no logs)
4. You can host your own node and provide for everyone
Download for PC: riot.im/desktop.html
