More than 20 people have been taken to the hospital and several people died, when a van struck pedestrians on London Bridge in central London at 22:08 BST on Saturday.
Police and ambulance were alerted and responded to reports that a van had hit several people on London Bridge. A white van had reportedly come speeding probably about 50mph veered off the road into the crowds of people who were walking along the pavements.
Armed officers later went to the nearby Borough Market in response to reports of stabbings in the area.
Eyewitnesses told BBC home affairs correspondent Tom Symonds they saw people getting out of the van after the attack on the bridge and running towards Borough Market.
A number of people were treated at the scene for less serious injuries, however, 20 people have been taken to the hospital. The British Transport Police said one of its officers was seriously injured after being stabbed as he responded to the incident.
The Metropolitan Police tweeted: "At 0025hrs 4/6/17 the incidents at #LondonBridge & #BoroughMarket were declared as terrorist incidents."
PM May described the incidents as "dreadful events" and will chair a meeting of the government's Cobra emergency committee later.
The police, later on, declared the incident was a terror attack.
Another huge attack after the Manchester Bombing where more than 20 teenagers died at Ariana Grande concert.
Pray for London…
