Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Refers To Ben Shapiro’s Debate Challenge as Sexist

Ben Shapiro started out by simply requesting a debate with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Shapiro even offered $10,000 to her campaign if she sat down with him for an hour-long show on Sunday.

<div style="width:100%;text-align:center;margin:0 auto;"><iframe width="360" height="202" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/I3wSSShwwwo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

Ben Shapiro reached out to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for a debate:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hey, <a href="https://twitter.com/Ocasio2018?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Ocasio2018</a>, what do you say? <a href="https://t.co/lKDtmMc8Us">pic.twitter.com/lKDtmMc8Us</a></p>&mdash; Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) <a href="https://twitter.com/benshapiro/status/1027287768437641216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 8, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

People called Cortez out for not responding, Ocasio-Cortez painted Shapiro as a sexist.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.<br><br>And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one. <a href="https://t.co/rsD17Oq9qe">pic.twitter.com/rsD17Oq9qe</a></p>&mdash; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@Ocasio2018) <a href="https://twitter.com/Ocasio2018/status/1027729430137827328?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 10, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Shapiro fired back saying that Cortez was the one demonstrating “bad intentions” by responding with slander. “Catcalling must mean something different in Queens.”

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Catcalling must mean something different in Queens.</p>&mdash; Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) <a href="https://twitter.com/benshapiro/status/1027940680398565376?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 10, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

"It turned into her claiming victim status," Shapiro told Fox News.

"She had to cloak her weak ideas in the armor of a smear," Gutfeld said. "It works… No one wants to be smeared."

Dan Bongino added that there is a "serious question" as to whether someone can successfully hold a debate with a leftist without being derogatorily called an "–phobe" or a "–ist."

<div style="width:100%;text-align:center;margin:0 auto;"><iframe width="360" height="202" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7NZWl1IsZ5A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

The simple fact is, Cortez hasn’t had to debate anyone. She has been given an unlimited platform with which to regurgitate the small amount of information that she has memorized. When asked a serious question, Cortez chokes and clams up. She can’t handle answering simple questions that are asked of her. A debate would show she is clearly not ready for this position.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">You haven’t had to debate yet. You have these left biased media outlets letting you regurgitate the small amount of info you memorized and when you get asked tougher questions you can’t answer them. You couldnt handle a debate from anyone on the right. <a href="https://t.co/46otHtilIf">https://t.co/46otHtilIf</a></p>&mdash; Lexy (@PoliticallyRYT) <a href="https://twitter.com/PoliticallyRYT/status/1028081934478594048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 11, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

It appears there is a double standard when it comes to Cortez and debates. She visited her opponent's office, unannounced, knowing she wasn’t going to have to debate, so it was an easy “win” and a way for her to showboat online. When someone request for her to debate they are still the bad guy.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Maybe he didn’t want you catcalling him 🤷🏻‍♀️<br><br>After all, your request was unsolicited with bad intentions. <a href="https://t.co/lzx6kIKrTK">https://t.co/lzx6kIKrTK</a></p>&mdash; Lexy (@PoliticallyRYT) <a href="https://twitter.com/PoliticallyRYT/status/1028083434944712705?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 11, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Cortez got a lucky break against an incumbent that was too confident. She "won" her primary because no one bothered to vote.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez refused to debate Ben Shapiro for $10,000 &amp; called him a “sexist” for even asking.<br><br>How is that sexist? She was just afraid to look stupid.<br><br>I keep thinking she’s a mental midget with no future in politics, but then I remember idiots like Pelosi &amp; Waters.</p>&mdash; Educating Liberals (@Education4Libs) <a href="https://twitter.com/Education4Libs/status/1028057366128807936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 10, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

An ex- co-worker is no fan of Democrat “darling” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

A waitress at Flats Fix, the East 16th Street taco and tequila bar where Cortez worked for four years, has a bad memory of working with her.

Cortez tended bar during the Cinco de Mayo celebration in 2017. At the end of the night, when it came time to split the $560 in tips received at the bar, Cortez gave the waitress a mere $50. When the waitress complained to her manager, the tip was doubled to $100, a source said.

“It says so much about her character,” the waitress said. “From that point on, I wouldn’t talk to her. I couldn’t look at her.”

If this is true, it’s a clear sign of hypocrisy. Nothing new from the left.
