Mammary clouds are formed by cold air that drops down in pouches in the convection of warm air.

This beautiful sunset was captured in Moscow at one of the city's largest bridges. The clouds form a majestic grouping that seems more like a painting or a scene from a high budget film. Clouds like these usually proceed a storm or indicate that one has recently passed as the sun is just starting to shine through the storm clouds.

Once they reach the clouds they too begin to swirl around the funnel making for an otherworldly and slightly unnerving phenomenon.

This beautiful, but terrifying photo is a microscopic view of a spider's foot. Now it makes sense how these pesky arachnids are able to climb up walls and ceilings. The claw-like structures on the bottom of the spider's foot are great at sticking to things and help them both navigate their environment and capture prey.

Last but not least is this rare photo of the now-extinct thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Devil or Tasmanian Tiger. The Tasmanian Devil was the largest carnivorous marsupial in modern history. Much like its name suggests, the striped creature was native to Tasmania, Australia, and New Guinea. These beautiful creatures hunted at night but became extinct from disease, hunting, and habitat loss.
