Mike Pence Praises Donald Trump’s Support for FBI’S New Clinton Emails Investigation

After the FBI re-opened its investigation on the private email server used by Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump reaffirmed his support for the bureau’s capability in handling the case. According to his running mate Mike Pence, Trump’s change of attitude in the FBI reflects true leadership.

Last week, James B. Comey, the current director of the FBI, announced to the Congress that the law enforcement agency will re-visit the case regarding Clinton’s email server that was used to handle classified documents.

Prior to Comey’s announcement, Trump has strongly criticized the FBI for closing the case on Clinton and ending the inquiry earlier in July of this year with the conclusion that confidential documents were not compromised by the Secretary of State’s camp by using a private email server.

For him, the agency easily ended the case without properly determining if Clinton was guilty or not.

But, after the FBI decided to renew its investigation into the matter, Trump changed his stance regarding the agency’s capabilities. He praised the bureau in its decision to look into the matter again to find out the truth behind the case.

Although his political rivals criticized him for his change in attitude, Pence, the governor of Indiana, applauded Trump in his renewed support for the FBI. According to the Republican Party’s vice presidential candidate, this shows just how great a leader Trump could be.

“I think what you see here is an example of real leadership,” Pence said according to The Washington Post. “That’s because we thought the investigation never should have been closed.”

“It was just incomprehensible when the director of the FBI came out and literally indicted Hillary Clinton in the press and then said we’re not recommending that she be indicted,” he added.

Clinton, on the other hand, has responded to the re-opening of the case by saying that the FBI’s decision to continue its investigation is a questionable move.
