A 50-week pregnant goat has died after 8 men gang-raped the animal in a village in Haryana’s Mewat district Wednesday night. The goat was 7-years-old and pregnant but died a day after it was repeatedly raped. Villagers beat three of the men in Maroda village after the owner caught them raping his goat.

Superintendent of police Nazneen Bhasin said, "Our team is investigating the case and has recorded the statement of the goat’s owner, who allegedly caught the three accused in the act. We are also in the process of recording the statements of other eyewitnesses and villagers to know the exact sequence of the crime and arrests will be made once we get all the details." Police have since arrested three of the men for the rape of the goat and charged them under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code which prohibits "carnal intercourse against the order of nature with man, woman or animal." The men were also charged under the Animal Cruelty Act at Nagina police station in Nuh. The five other men have yet to be identified.

Truck driver Aslup Khan, 27, is the owner of the goat and said it went missing from its shed Wednesday night which is located next to his house. The disappearance prompted Khan and other villagers to start searching for the missing goat. "It was around 11 pm when I heard some noise and went out. The gate of the shed was open. I panicked and raised an alarm, as four of my goats had been stolen in the past and this was the only one left. While we were looking around, we found three men sexually assaulting my goat."
Khan said when he and the other villagers caught up with the three men they beat them but were eventually let go since they were local drunks and regular offenders. Khan told police the three men admitted that another five men had raped the goat that night. Of the three who have been captured so far, Bhasin said they have an extensive criminal history and were jailed in the past for stealing motorcycles and cattle.

"My goat was injured and lying on the ground. It was not even able to walk. I took it home and applied medicines on the wounds on its head and nose. It did not eat anything the next day and was lying as if it was paralyzed," Khan said. The next day, police said one of the accused men mocked Khan over the condition of the goat. "He came to me on Thursday and threatened to steal the goat. He laughed and said that he and his friends had a nice time that night, which made me furious. I thrashed him after which he fled the spot."
The goat died around 6 p.m. Thursday evening and the villagers informed the police. "We informed the veterinary surgeon as the post-mortem had to be conducted and booked the men involved in the sexual assault," Bhasin said. A veterinary surgeon of animal husbandry at Nagina named Dr. Ramvir Bhardwaj said the goat died of brain hemorrhage. "It was 50 weeks pregnant," Bhardwaj said. "During the post-mortem examination, it was found that there was blood in her windpipe. Samples of its vaginal swabs were sent to the forensic science laboratory."

The gestation period for goats is generally about 5 months.
or about 21 weeks. Which is less than 1/2 of the 50 weeks stated in the story.
I don't just read, I verify what I read id factual.

Having looked at the various origination's of the story and finding the oldest google, dogpile version on "deccanchronicle-dot-com.
I see the story has evolved from the original 2 paragraphs, did not list the weeks the goat was with kid.
This not a slam on the author who is just trying hard to present a good odd story to read.

Surely a veterinary surgeon knew better and 50 weeks is nearly two full years, I honestly don't know of ANY animal with that long of a gestation period but IANAB (I am not a biologist).
Indian women are su ugly, and they even scarify their hands so that can't even give you a handy. Of course the goat looks better. They smell better too.
