A retired United States Navy Master Chief in Florida, Matthew Washkewicz, was arrested by St. Johns County Deputies after they say the pedophile was caught in the possession of 91,000 child pornography files, some of which involved bestiality with animals, as well as secretly filming a 12-year-old child naked.
Warning Some of the grim details of this pedophile case may be graphic for some readers, caution is advised.
Matthew Washkewicz, both a federal employee and a retired high-ranking petty officer in the United States of America's Navy, became subject of an investigation after he took children belonging to a close friend to the beach on July 13th, less than two weeks ago.
When Master Chief Washkewicz and the children returned to his home from their visit to the beach, Washkewicz told the children, including a 12-year-old girl, and her brother, that they should go to change their clothes while he attends to his dog.
He directed the boy to use the guest bathroom in the home and told the young girl she could change in the master bathroom of his bedroom.
As the young girl was in the bathroom, naked and changing her clothes, she took notice to a mobile phone propped against a plant on the bathroom, pointed directly at her while in the nude.
Being suspicious, the child then picked up the phone and realized it was filming her while changing. It had recorded for nearly one and a half minutes, capturing the entirety of her undressing from her bathing suit.
She then deleted the video, and placed the phone back in the position she found it.
Based upon the time frame that the phone was recording, Washkewicz had placed it there immediately prior to telling her to use that specific bathroom to change.
Naked and afraid, she knew she had to immediately escape.
As the child exited the bathroom, she told Master Chief Washkewicz that she felt ill, and immediately needed to return home. This decision may have saved her life.
Washkewicz was apparently suspicious, if not having a guilty conscience, because he immediately told the children to get into the car, and along the drive repeatedly told them “I am a good guy,” along the trip back to their parent's home.
The child's mother was immediately told about the incident as soon as Washkewicz left the home, according to police, who then contacted law enforcement at the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office to file a report.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at the residence of Washkewicz on Monday, where he refused to answer the door, despite Sheriff's Deputies witnessing him view them from outside a window.
As the Sheriff's Deputies took forcible measures to kick-in the front door, they found Washkewicz trying to destroy evidence.
In the master bathroom, Deputies spotted a crumpled piece of paper with links to child pornographic websites scribbled onto it, as well as finding smashed electronics components they believed to be the phone hidden in the water tank of the toilet, of which the respected naval officer and pedophile was clearly trying to remove from authorities.
"We do know the items were damaged immediately upon our arrival, the best we can tell," St. Johns County Cmdr. Chuck Mulligan said. "Even though it was placed in water, they still may be able to pull evidence."
Deputies would also find a hard drive which had been torn from a laptop computer hidden under the bathroom sink.
In the home office of Washkewicz, Deputies found an additional flash drive hidden under his desk, which was sent to a forensics laboratory in order to examine for evidence.
Washkewicz was originally arrested on the charges of video voyeurism and tampering with evidence on Monday, only to be released on Tuesday with a bond payment of $25,000.

This, again, is showcasing exactly why we need tougher legislation nationwide to prevent child-sexual predators from roaming free in our country.
On the flash drive which Deputies sent for further analysis, law enforcement discovered 91,000 child pornographic images and videos of prepubescent children engaged in forced sexual abuse at the hands of adults, stunning authorities as to the amount of illicit child porn found.

This led the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office to seek an arrest warrant for Washkewicz, and on Friday took him back into custody for 26 individual charges related to child pornography.
According to records, Washkewicz was a Navy Command Master Chief Petty Officer and is currently employed with the United States Office of Personnel Management, as a background investigator.
Washkewicz originally enlisted in the United States Navy in 1978, where he served until recently retiring, having been stationed at Naval Station Mayport as per his most recent duties.
Washkewicz is now being detained on a $150,000 bond for 25 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child, and one count of possession of a sexual performance by a child with the intent to promote.
Reporting from local affiliate News 4 Jax in Jacksonville, Florida, law enforcement found videos that depicted children as young as toddlers, as well as child porn bestiality that depicted those children engaged in forced sexual abuse with a dog on the flash drive belonging to Washkewicz.
That horrendous description is unfathomable as if the idea of sexual relations with a child isn't deranged enough, to begin with, the now-retired Master Chief enjoyed watching videos of dogs having sex with children.

These people are sick.
There's truly not a cure for this type of perversion, outside of capital punishment, which needs to be restored to America for child rapists.
This is one of the many reasons that The Goldwater has consistently told our readers that you have more power than you know. Get involved by contacting your elected officials and demanding first an end to the statute of limitations for child rape and molestation, as well as legislation that will bring back capital punishment for those who would sexually abuse a child.

A neighbor of Washkewicz, Irene Mestas, said of the Master Chief, “Hopefully not true, but if it is he needs to be locked up so everyone else can be safe.”
She also added that Washkewicz was once married with two children of his own, bringing about concerns for those children as well.
With law enforcement discovering the evidence on the flash drive, as well as the effort to destroy the evidence in his bathroom, Washkewicz no doubt has been caught red-handed.
He was able to fly under the radar for years, based solely on the idea from those who knew him suggesting they're shocked by the revelations.
The scourge of child pornographic distribution continues to be eliminated under the Trump Administration, which has result in over 9000 arrests related to human and child-sex trafficking, child molestation, or child pornography since President Trump's inauguration in January of 2017, setting records in the widespread victories against the rampant pedophilia in America.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is also bringing down suspected child-sex offenders through Operation Predator.
You can also contact ICE via the Operation Predator application for mobile devices. ICE has created a smartphone app – the first of its kind in U.S. federal law enforcement – designed to seek the public's help with fugitive and unknown suspect child predators.
The iOS version of the app can be downloaded from Apple's App Store and iTunes; the Android version is also available via Google Play Store.
St. Johns County Sheriff's Detectives aren't aware of Washkewicz has any other potential victims, but the 56-year-old pedophile certainly could have engaged in similar behavior, or worse, prior to this occurrence.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may have had any suspicious contact with Washkewicz in the past to call the Sheriff's Office directly at 904-824-8304 and ask for the Special Victims Unit.
The arrest of Washkewicz, a respected member of the United States of America's armed forces via the Navy, and a government employee highlights the fact that pedophilia is in every crevice of our society.
Be careful who you follow, and who you allow around your children.
