The law has finally caught up with a child pornography suspect on the Massachusetts State Police’s most wanted list who’s been on the run for almost three years has been finally captured.

47-year-old Stephen Cote was arrested on Thursday as he emerged from his car in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Cote was wanted on a federal charge of receipt of material involving sexual
exploitation of minors. Investigators established enough evidence that Cote
possessed child pornography and a warrant was issued in November 2915.
Cote who has ties to Northampton, however, went missing soon after.

Cote is believed to also have ties to Springfield, Westfield, Southbridge, NewBedford, and Fall River.
Cote will be in custody until he is arraigned in federal court to be scheduled
at a later date. It is not yet clear if he has a lawyer.
