The Dallas mother who rose to worldwide fame after enforcing the NRA’s motto of the ‘good guy with a gun’ when she shot the carjacker of her SUV with her kids inside in the face has been identified by the local press as Michelle Booker-Hicks.

Hailed a hero by many in the great state, Ms. Booker-Hicks shot 36-year-old Mr. Rickey Wright when he refused to stop the car carrying her children. The events took place while she was paying for her gas at a Shell station along Interstate 35 near Camp Wisdom Road in Dallas.

Carjacker Mr. Rickey Wright is currently in the hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition. Police stated: “court records show he has a long list of charges including assault and family violence, arson, theft, making a terroristic threat, resisting arrest, and drug charges.”

Police admitted that Ms. Booker-Hicks didn’t have a license to carry but was allowed to carry her gun in her car. She will not face any charges.

Most Southern states treat a vehicle as an extension of your home/property.
Unlike many northern and liberalized states that require lic. to protect yourself and family for just about anything.
Hell some states require you to register your firearms with them just to have them in your house.
Maybe that is why there are less car-jackings and public issues as compared the Liberalized / Northern states.
Maybe __Affle House should pickup on this trend and take down those STUPID - GUN FREE ZONE signs, that only tell Physically Aggressive idiots and Robbers it is safe for them.
BTW: Seeing people open carrying (pistols) in dept stores and supermarket is common.
Another reason want we don't have major shoot-em-ups in firearm friendly states and places.
