Trump Rallies Young Americans Not to Be Politically Correct

His courage and daring to be politically-incorrect when needed and in sharp departure from his predecessor, Barack Obama, is one of the strongest reasons why he successfully got to the White House. Now, it’s the same principle that President Donald Trump shared with a group of college-age Americans on Wednesday as he encouraged them not to be constrained by the favorite buzzword of Democrats - political correctness.

Trump said to an audience of about 100 young leaders who visited the White House as part of the Face-to-Face with Our Future program: “I’ve been politically incorrect a lot and here we are.”

The audience included union leadership trainees whom Trump described as “tough negotiators” and NASA interns whom he said had a “good future” because of his administration’s focus on space. Trump added that NASA is “very important.”’

The President also urged the youth to protect the “entire Constitution” including the “controversial” ones including free speech and Second Amendment gun rights. Trump said: “You can be liberal, you can be conservative, Democrats, Republicans. You have to have free speech.”’

The President alluded to increased restrictions of free speech on college campuses as he underscored the importance for young people like his audience to engage in free and open debate.

Trump also rallied the young leaders to embrace the never say die spirit, telling them to “never give up.” Trump underscored that the quality of perseverance often made the difference between success and failure.

The President told his audience that if they are quitters, they would not be there with him that day. At the same time, Trump said this is a proud time to be “young and American” underscoring the limitless opportunity in the soaring property ushered in with his administration, and historically low unemployment rates.
