"Game Of Thrones" Sweethearts Jon Snow And ‎Ygritte Just Got Married In Real Life

Two onscreen lovers from the smash hit HBO show "Game of Thrones" just tied the knot for real. Actor Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow married a love interest from the show named Ygritte played by Rose Leslie. The pair began dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of "Game of Thrones" and five years later they announced their engagement on September 2017.

The wedding took place in a small but beautiful town in Scotland and featured many of the cast members from "Game of Thrones". Among their fellow cast mates to attend the nuptials was Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Emilia Clarke. Harington has enjoyed a successful career in acting, especially after the success of "Game of Thrones".

Harington also starred as Robert Catesby in BBC One's "Gunpowder" show about the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Harington is actually a direct descendant of the actual Robert Catesby ironically enough. He is also scheduled to appear in "The Death and Life of John F. Donovan" where he will star alongside a star-studded cast including big names such as Natalie Portman, Susan Sarandon, Bella Thorne, Jacob Tremblay, Thandie Newton, and Kathy Bates.

For his role on HBO's "Game of Thrones", Harington earned an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series. He is a native of London where he attended the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. His new wife Rose who's full name is Rose Eleanor Arbuthnot-Leslie made her debut in the hit show in Season 2 where she played the wildling character Ygritte who became the love interest of Jon Snow played by Harington.

Leslie was born to a noble family in Scotland and spent her childhood growing up at Lickleyhead Castle, her families residence since the 15th century. Fans were pleased to see the onscreen duo become a real-life couple and the wedding had thousands of social media users wishing them the best.
