A country in Europe is planning to get First Lady Melania Trump a statue made for her as a tribute. What so interesting is, the statue is not in Washington DC, not in New York City where she is currently living, or even Slovenia where she was born.
The statue of the former model now First Lady is going to be erected in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Apparently, Melania Trump is quite popular in that country as she became the subject of public admiration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for her RNC speech during the presidential campaign for her husband Donald Trump. Melania is known to speak six spoken languages and Serbian is one of them.
Marinko Umicevic, an MP in the Assembly of the city of Banja Luka and also the technical director at the Bema shoe factory was the one responsible for giving Melania a pair of shoes as a gift from a Bosnian-Serb shoe factory. Umicevic is now responsible for planning for the life-size statue of the first lady.
The statue of the former jewelry designer now the first lady will stand just in front of the factory as a tribute to her. Umicevic hopes that the statue of the US First Lady will convince her to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are hoping that in future, they can expect a positive answer from her and to have an olive branch from the US.
Sculptor Stevo Selak who previously sculpted the statues of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is tasked to make the statue that will be made from gypsum, a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dehydrate. The statue will feature a handbag and shoes.
Melania Trump was a native of Slovenia. Both Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was a part of Yugoslavia.
