Authorities are in deep search for a 7-month-old girl whom they believe is in “extreme danger” after being abducted by her own father. Even the FBI has joined the search since the kidnapper is a registered sex offender.
The police have been searching for the baby, Emma Grace Kennedy, after her father Carl Kennedy took her at knifepoint from her mother at a gas station in Danville, Virginia on Sunday night.
What makes the situation extra dangerous is that Kennedy is a registered sex offender in North Carolina and is currently out of jail on a $250,000 bond for drug distribution.

The baby’s mother, Kristen Murphy, is worried about what might happen to her precious child since the father “has nothing left to lose now.” Murphy added: “I feel like he would hurt Emma.”
Carl Kennedy was armed with a knife when he assaulted Murphy at a Kwik Shop gas station and took the baby from her mother.
Based on North Carolina incarceration records, Kennedy was convicted in 2014 on a felony charge of strangulation and a charge of misdemeanor sexual battery. Sexual battery means Kennedy engaged in sexual contact with someone against his or her will or with someone who suffers from a mental disability or physical incapacity.
Kennedy was required to register as a sex offender for 10 years. The charges against him stemmed from a complaint by a woman that Kennedy assaulted her at home.
Emma Grace Kennedy has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a light blue onesie with dots and a white rabbit on the left leg, with a matching headband. The baby also happens to have a small scar on her left cheek.
The 51-year-old suspect, Carl Kennedy, on the other hand, has several tattoos: a skull on his left forearm, a wizard on his upper left arm, a skull with a bandana over its mouth on his right forearm and a pit bull with “American bulldog” written under it on his upper right arm.
Kennedy also has an eye tattoo on the back of his right hand. He also has a pierced left ear. He was last spotted wearing a brown t-shirt, gray shorts, and black and white Sketchers.
The suspect was also seen last driving a gold Suzuki sedan with North Carolina tags EKZ-509. His vehicle bears a front-end damage on the left side. There’s also an emblem on his car which reads “Johnny’s Auto Sales.”
Police previously received a tip that Kennedy was seen in Seven Springs, east of Fayetteville. Investigators said he could be on his way to Oak Island.
The authorities are asking the public’s help for any useful information that could help them locate and save the baby and establish the whereabouts of the suspect as well. Anyone with any tips is requested to call the Danville Police Department at 434-799-6510 or 911.
