Police have reported that the park had been the site of football games for a group of young adults the past two weekends. A video was shared on Facebook by one of the eyewitnesses. Early on in the video, you can hear an argument taking place between some people near the football field. Police reported it was a group of men who were responsible for the violent outburst as they pulled up to the scene and started shooting.
The pregnant woman was rushed to a nearby hospital and currently still in critical condition suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest. The baby is fine after an emergency C-section. No one else at the scene was seriously injured. The man responsible for recording the video of the incident, Braylon Allen-Stovall, was not injured but says he dodged about ten bullets.
