Kosaka Kumiko, 42, a Japanese Catholic nun with an Argentine citizenship was arrested and charged for suspicion of helping priest sexually abuse deaf children.
Kumiko who is a nun in a school for youths with hearing disabilities in Argentina was said to be helping the priests commit anal and vaginal rapes, including fondling and oral sex. The act was done inside the bathrooms, dormitories, garden, and basement of the Antonio Provolo Institute for children with hearing impairment in Lujan de Cuyo.She has also been charged with physically abusing the students. Kumiko was taken into custody at a local women prison while investigation still going on.
Kumiko pleaded she is innocent and denied any wrong doings during the court hearing late Thursday.A case was filed by a former student accusing Kumiko of making her wear a diaper to cover up a hemorrhage after she was allegedly raped by a priest named Horacio Corbacho.
At least 24 students come forward to accuse Corbacho, fellow priest Nicola Corradi and three other employee of rape.
One student said the priests will say it was a game, let’s go play, and would take them to the girls’ bathroom. Another student said that the priests even raped them beside the image of the Virgin Mary.Police have arrested the five suspects last November. They discovered pornographic magazines and about $34,000 inside Corradi’s room.
Corradi and Corbacho were arrested and charged last year for sexually abusing at least two dozen students at the Antonio Provolo Institute. The accused will have to face up to 50 years in prison if found guilty,.
The other three school employees named Jorge Bordon, Jose Luis Ojeda and Armando Gomez were also arrested and remained in custody.
There are more than 30 testimonies that the investigators are still looking into against the priests and teaching staff at the moment.
