Memorial Day- President Trump Unveils Five-Point Plan to Ensure America's Veterans Win Again

The United States of America has made monumental leaps and bounds during the Trump Administration - but one of the key areas of focus - in which the last 10 Presidents have faltered - ensuring dignity for the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces - is what President Trump plans to fix next for America's brave Veterans.

Numerous politicians such as failed Senator John McCain (R-AZ) have sat on the Armed Services Committee for decades and oversaw no successful changes they benefit our military’s Veterans or their struggles once returning home from a tour of duty. President Trump has committed the full resources of his Administration to fixing the broken government agencies which are designated to give back to those who risk it all for our freedom.

As Memorial Day is upon us, we're reminded once again of the time-honored tradition of paying homage to those men and women, and President Trump has unveiled his newest plan which the White House aptly titled, “This Memorial Day, a Win for America’s Veterans,” which lays out the five steps the President of the United States of America plans to take to provide a better way of life for the most courageous of heroes this nation has to offer.

The White House issued the following statement:

”Memorial Day is our Nation’s solemn reminder that freedom is never free,” President Donald J. Trump wrote last year, proclaiming Memorial Day 2017 as a Day of Prayer for Permanent Peace. “It is a moment of collective reflection on the noble sacrifices of those who gave the last measure of devotion in service of our ideals and in the defense of our Nation.””

”Memorial Day is an occasion for Americans to honor those who lost their lives in service to our country. As we do so, it is also a moment to consider how we can make life better for all of America’s heroes in uniform, including our veterans.”

”In the coming days, President Trump will take an important step toward correcting how the United States treats its veteran population. On May 23, the Senate followed the House of Representatives’ lead in passing the VA MISSION Act, a bill that will transform the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) into a high-performing and integrated healthcare system for the 21st century. It accomplishes this goal by putting patient choice at the core of the VA program.”

”The final legislative package—which passed the Senate in an overwhelming 92-5 bipartisan vote—follows months of discussion among key Congressional leaders and the President to reach a strong compromise.”

”“Passing this legislation is another promise made and promise kept to America’s Veterans under President Trump’s leadership, which has provided the most substantial VA reform in a generation,” Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. President Trump expects to sign the bill into law soon after Memorial Day.”

”The VA MISSION Act achieves five important objectives for our Nation’s veterans:”

”1. Consolidates and strengthens the VA’s community care programs;”

”2. Funds the existing Veterans Choice program to ensure veterans continue to receive care through the Choice program until the new, consolidated Veterans Community Care Program takes effect;”

”3. Creates new flexibilities to aid the VA in managing its infrastructure portfolio through an Asset and Infrastructure review process;”

”4. Creates new flexibilities to aid the VA in managing its infrastructure portfolio through an Asset and Infrastructure review process;”

”5. Expands the Caregivers program to include eligible veterans from all eras of service;”

”Strengthens the VA’s workforce.”

”These reforms come at a crucial moment. The Acting Secretary of Veterans Affairs recently informed Congress that the VA expects funding for the current Choice program to be exhausted as early as the end of this month. To prevent disruptions to care, the Trump Administration had urged Congress to pass the bill by Memorial Day.”

”Although the VA MISSION Act represents a milestone in veterans care, the work is far from finished. “The Administration will continue implementing policies that transform and modernize the VA to better serve our nation’s heroes,” Press Secretary Sanders said.”

”President Trump also remains committed to broader health care reforms that improve the lives and well-being of all Americans, building on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s repeal of the Obamacare individual mandate tax on working families.”

The promise of prosperity for our country's Veterans from the 45th President of the United States of America is one that should have been kept and honored by countless Administrations of yesteryear.

The failures of the past, especially the previous eight years of Barack Obama, are an unforgivable atrocity. Where instead of placing “America First,” the Democratic Party was concerned with financing Islamic insurgencies across the globe, protecting illegal aliens inside America, and creating a disastrous welfare state that embarrassed the country's image to the planet.

Our founding fathers would be driven to civil war had they been alive to see the failures or our governance in taking care of the most patriotic of our citizens, who stood proudly in volunteering to risk their lives so that your children can have a better tomorrow.

It is Memorial Day in America..the day when we remember those who served and did not come home. Their duty was to serve. Our duty is to remember. God bless our fallen heroes and their families. #MemorialDay 🇺🇸
— Vice President Mike Pence (@VP) May 28, 2018

On this Memorial Day, the Trump Administration gives back to those who have given us their everything so that we can have the opportunities in which the founding fathers envisioned for Americans.

The President and First Lady, The Trump Administration, along with Mike Pence, and the President's entire cabinet are thankful for the Veterans who serve our nation and has promised to put them above all else when enacting any policy from here forth.

On #MemorialDay we honor the many Americans who laid down their lives for our great country. As one nation under God, we come together to remember that freedom isn’t free. Thank you to all the service members & their families who sacrifice so much to keep us safe. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/H6yhNQXyPg
— Melania Trump (@FLOTUS) May 28, 2018

You see, under Barack Obama we had men and women of the left disgracing our nation's values and relics including the American flag, of which right they do have, despite how disgusting and horrible those “protests” may be; but they have those freedoms because of the bravery of those who served our country to bring Americans liberty.

This Presidency brings class back into the White House, as well as respect for those who are fearless in our military.

President Trump is brave enough to take on the challenged which are the hardest to overcome, albeit deserve the most attention, and his plan to save the lives of our Veterans in America is awe-inspiring and beautiful.

Happy Memorial Day! Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 28, 2018
