Trump Throws Lightning Bolts On Twitter Today

President Donald Trump has always been consistent in taking the mainstream liberal media to task for not giving him a fair and balanced coverage, and for imposing their liberal views on their coverage of him. Those are some of the reasons why he uses Twitter to air his messages, and connect with the American public. And Thursday morning saw the President's 'Twitter programming' loaded, busy and interesting.

Trump first gave his thoughts on news that Obama's former security adviser, Susan Rice, is refusing to testify before a Senate subcommittee about the supposed Russian hacking and the 'unmasking' of U.S. citizens whose conversations happened to be allegedly picked up in the surveillance of foreign targets. Trump tweeted: " Susan Rice, the former National Security Advisor to President Obama, is refusing to testify before a Senate Subcommittee next week on…allegations of unmasking Trump transition officials. Not good!" .

The two tweets on Rice garnered 9,520 and 6,668 retweets respectively while 29.3 thousand users and 26.1 thousand users liked the posts by clicking on the heart sign.

The President again brought up his persistent issue with the mainstream media, with the exception of conservative Fox News' Fox and Friends'. He tweeted: "The Fake News media is officially out of control. They will do or say anything in order to get attention-never been a time like this!". He made a follow-up tweet with the message: "Congratulations to @foxandfriends on its unbelievable ratings hike.".

Trump's slamming of the mainstream liberal media got 12.1 thousand retweets, and was loved by 44.6 thousand Twitter users. His follow-up congratulatory tweet to @foxandfriends received 4,265 retweets and was liked by 23.9 thousand Twitter users.

After his media-related tweets, Trump next retweeted a segment on "Fox and Friends" about the religious liberty executive order he is expected to sign Thursday, which is the National Day of Prayer. It garnered 6,315 retweets and loved by 21.7 thousand users.

And because the day is not over yet, Trump's full Twitter programming went on. He posted a link to the CNBC story with the headline " Aetna will exit Obamacare markets in Virginia in 2018, citing expected losses on individual plans this year". Trump posted a message: " Death spiral!" The tweet got 5,291 retweets from his supporters and followers while the heart sign was pressed by 16.3 thousand users.

And just an hour ago, Trump had this as his latest tweet: " Beautiful evening with Religious Leaders here at the WH last night. Join us now for a #NationalDayofPrayer, LIVE:" and then gave a link to the White House site. In just over an hour, the Tweet had 3,012 retweets and was liked by 12,609 followers.

The President is having a busy day offline, with a major event, developments, and other duties. He squeezes in a few moments to make sure his online communication with supporters and the public remains engaging and productive as well. If the mainstream media won't report about things important to the President, then he would.
