Eurovision – Stage Invader Grabs Mic: “Nazis Of The UK Media, We Want Freedom” (Video)

There was quite a stir last night at the Eurovision finale when a man stormed the stage during the UK’s performance and grabbed the microphone from performer SuRie as she was singing her song ‘Storm’ live.

He then shouted to a live public of hundreds of millions: “For the Nazis of the UK media, we de-mand freedom.”

The man was unable to finish his protest as security quickly grabbed him and removed him from the performing stage. The UK singer SuRie was confused as the scene played out but while the front rows were still singing her song, she picked up the microphone and continued to sing the last lines.

Israel won the Eurovision song contest yesterday evening with a song composed by the #MeToo movement. Singer Netta Barzilai performed her electronic song ‘Toy’ complete with a chicken dance.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The way SuRie handled that will go down in the history books for one of the most iconic moments at Eurovision, very few people could do what she did after that. I would be afraid for my life after that</p>&mdash; Brent 🇨🇾🇮🇱🇪🇪 (@eurovisionisbae) <a href="https://twitter.com/eurovisionisbae/status/995393080101453824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 12, 2018</a></blockquote>

The win means Israel will get to host next year, probably from Jerusalem.

Winner Netta Barzilai said: "I'm happy people chose something different. It's refreshing. I believe authenticity (shows) through. "Next time in Jersualem!"
