China - NOKO’s Kim Visits President Jinping Again (Video)

Just as US President Donald Trump sent out his morning tweets, one of which mentioned an upcoming call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the world was made aware that North Korean leader Kim Jung-Un had undertaken another trip to China to meet his Chinese counterpart.

The two leaders met in Dalian. It is already their second meeting in a few months’ time as the countries cement their ties before an upcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jung-Un, which is bound to happen before half June.

To that effect, Mr Trump tweeted: “I will be speaking to my friend, President Xi of China, this morning at 8:30. The primary topics will be Trade, where good things will happen, and North Korea, where relationships and trust are building.”

“In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries had an all-round and in-depth exchange of views” on relations between their two countries.

Chinese President Jinping was at the same time using the trip to the province of Liaoning to manage the first sea trial of China’s first domestically built aircraft carrier. Local military sources said: “The Type 001A carrier will have a formal sea trial ceremony, probably today or tomorrow.”

“President Xi will need to attend because it’s the first aircraft carrier that has been 100 per cent developed and built by Chinese shipbuilders. Preliminary tests for the Type 001A carrier’s sea trial began last month, but the formal ceremony could not take place until Xi was available to come.”
