Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin has been suspected of being behind stand down orders to police during recent riots in the city. It turns out that he is a member of the Facebook group of far left militant organization known as By Any Means Necessary (BAMN).

The Mayor is also a Facebook friends with Yvette Falarco, a BAMN organizer and Berkeley middle school teacher with a long history of instigating violence.

The FBI named BAMN in 2005 over suspicion with the involvement in domestic terrorist activities. However, the group has boasted of organizing Berkeley’s shutdown of white neo-fascist Milo Yiannopoulos.

BAMN is best known for a 2016 incident in which they showed up to a rally held by the white-nationalist Traditionalist Workers Party outside the California state capitol building in Sacramento. The group was confrontational with the white-nationalists within minutes of arrival. The confrontation led to ten people being stabbed and hospitalized in a bloody fight.

The mayor also referred to Yiannopoulos as a white supremacist and was forced to issue an apology.

Hours after his apology, supporters of President Donald Trump who hoped to listen to Yiannopoulos speak were under a violent attack. People were assaulted with pipes, a generator-powered spotlight was firebombed, and looters destroyed several businesses in the area including a Starbucks.

Mayor Jesse Arreguin’s personal page shows he’s a Facebook member of Defend Affirmative Action and Integration and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary (BAMN).

An article that was written back in 2001 by East Bay Express revealed that BAMN was founded in 1995 and its alleged to be a front group for an obscure Detroit-based Trotskyist political party called the Revolutionary Workers League. However, even by UC Berkeley standards, students considered the group extreme.

Some people are calling for the arrest and imprisonment of Berkeley’s liberal Mayor Jesse Arreguin under US code 2385. The code clearly states that whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so.

Having the above in mind, the question becomes whether Jesse Arreguin made statements that supported and emboldened actions or groups that can be reasonably construed to be attempting to overthrow or destroy the United States?

It’s also worth asking whether Jesse Arreguin published anything that could be constituted as promoting the use of force or violence as proper for destroying the United States Government? And can the frequent attacks on conservative rallies and speaking engagements and the lack of violence at liberal rallies and speaking engagements be seen as proof of an establishment supported wave of violence against conservatives?

A closer look at the turn of events proves that Arreguin is guilty of slander and radical ties. However, there might be doubt about Mayor Arreguin’s involvement with leftist terrorist groups, but there is no doubt about his willingness to slander people with opposing views.

Arreguin made it clear that he knew he had committed slander by his weak attempt at an apology for mislabeling Milo Yiannopoulos a white nationalist. Based on Berkeley’s violent history of radical leftist activism, it can be said that the mayor knew that radical factions would take it as an invitation to use violence to shut down free speech. This is true given that one of the most prominent radical Berkeley activists, Yvette Felarca, is on his friend list.
