Seth Rich’s murder got political when “conspiracy theories” took life on social media. It’s been nearly two years now, and one question remains unanswered; who killed Seth Rich?
Seth was a 27-year-old digital campaigner with the Democratic Party and lived in the Bloomingdale area of Washington D.C.
On July 10, 2016, in the early morning hours, Seth Rich was making his way home from a night out in D.C. Seth was talking on the phone with his girlfriend while walking home from a bar. At around 4 a.m. he told her he was almost there and had to go. Seconds later, gunshots rang out. Seth was found lying on the ground a block from his apartment with two bullet holes in his back. He was taken to a hospital, where he died a little more than an hour later.
Seth’s watch, wallet, and phone were found on him. There were signs of a struggle.
The Police called Seth's murder a street robbery gone wrong. What? It was 4 a.m., and he was shot in cold blood. His wallet, watch and phone were not taken. Those items could have easily been grabbed. He was shot in the back. If someone walked up and shot him twice In the back, why would they just run without robbing him? This doesn’t make any sense.
Weeks after Seth’s death, Wikileaks published 20,000 emails obtained from Democratic National Committee computers via an anonymous source.
Some wondered if that source was, in fact, Seth himself.
Roger Stone, a right-wing political operative, expressed his belief that Seth was murdered for having blown the whistle on the DNC by leaking explosive documents to Wikileaks.
This theory took root when Wikileaks founder Julian Assange appeared on Dutch TV strongly implying that Seth was the whistleblower behind the email leak.

Wikileaks posted a tweet offering a cash reward for anyone who could help solve Seth’s murder. To many who wanted answers, this was confirmation that Seth Rich had been their source.
To this day no one knows who leaked the information. Assange has neither confirmed nor denied that it was Seth. Left-wing radicals say this is nothing more than conspiracy theories. What do you think? Was it cold-blooded murder?

The Democratic Party filed a multimillion-dollar federal lawsuit against Trump campaign officials, the Russian government, and WikiLeaks alleging a widespread conspiracy to tilt the 2016 election in Donald Trump's favor.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BREAKING?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#BREAKING</a>: Democratic Party files federal lawsuit alleging conspiracy by Trump campaign, Russia, WikiLeaks to disrupt 2016 presidential election. Maybe the FBI will finally get a look at the DNC server and figure out Seth Rich hacked & was murdered <a href="https://t.co/qY6m6ibhOP">https://t.co/qY6m6ibhOP</a></p>— GITMO :us: (@President1Trump) <a href="https://twitter.com/President1Trump/status/987353915913113602?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Perhaps this is their way of “wagging the dog." Maybe we can finally get some answers to what happened to Seth Rich. Their lawsuit just may backfire on them and be their undoing.
