You can't be afraid of heights when you're in Sam Powers' line of work. In fact, you can't be afraid of much of anything, including death. This young Australian escape artist just completed one of his most death-defying stunts yet, the aptly-named Jaws of Death. Some might even say Powers' stunts are more deadly than Harry Houdini's.

His latest stunt, the Jaws of Death, saw Powers hanging high above the building at Channel Nine's Sydney studio where he performed the stunt exclusively for the station. The amount of focus and strength this stunt needs required months of training and practice as you can see in a video from Powers' YouTube channel, sampowersmagic.
Powers' credits his physical performance to a special diet used by NASA astronauts that puts the body in a state of ketosis. By using a special ketone supplement, Powers put his body in nutritional ketosis that shifts the body's metabolic state to burn fat rather than glucose which is normally its primary fuel. It is also said to give heightened mental alertness in critical situations such as the one's Powers engineers for himself.

Powers pulled off the daring escape from the Jaws of Death without any crash mats or safety net. If the stunt went wrong, Powers could not only find himself falling to his death, but he could also be gored by the jaws massive spikes that are set to come down. Don't try this at home.
