Blackhawk Helicopter Crash Kills One on Maryland Golf Course

A Black Hawk helicopter on a training mission crashed on a golf course in Maryland on Monday afternoon.

The Army confirmed two of the three people aboard were taken via medical helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock and Trauma Center in Baltimore.

The pilot was declared dead at the scene.

The helicopter crashed in Leonardtown, MD, at about 1:50 p.m. State police said two police medical evacuation helicopters were assisting.

The Army Blackhawk is based out of Fort Belvoir, located in Fairfax, VA. This is about 40 miles from the crash site.
