The self-made millionaire turned entrepreneur Mike Lindell says that not many crack addicts achieve success, but in his case, he managed to do it. "It can be done, people," Lindell said while laughing. Mike Lindell made millions when he created the MyPillow empire from scratch in 2004 and he did it while addicted to crack.

"People say all the time that's one of the biggest miracles ever," he said. Mike's story is an inspiring one and it represents what is possible in America and perhaps one of the most important ideas the country has to offer. The fact that anyone can pursue their dreams whatever they may be is central to the core freedoms and values the nation was build upon. So when someone tries to shut that dream down, that is an affront to the American people and goes against everything we believe in.

Mike is now sober for eight years and runs his company MyPillow from his hometown in Chaska, Minnesota just outside Minneapolis. But his life in Minnesota hasn't always been easy. "I went to the U of M (University of Minnesota) for one quarter, and I was working two jobs," Mike explained. "I felt like I was just wasting my time."
After one quarter, Mike dropped out of college but continued working two jobs until he was fired. "I actually got fired at the grocery store," he said explaining how he clashed with the manager but also drew inspiration from something he said. "He says, 'Well, Mike, if you don't like it here, maybe get your own company someday," he said. And that is exactly what he did but he didn't see success right away.

Starting in the 1980's, Mike tried to start a carpet cleaning business after his sister's apartment became flooded and was in need of cleaning. "I said, 'Wow, this would be a good business,' and I wasn't doing anything," he said. When that failed, he tried to make money as a professional card counter in Las Vegas, but that didn't go too well either. Among his other numerous failed ventures was an attempt to raise pigs and a lunch wagon business.
Mike always had trouble sleeping his whole life and never liked his pillow. "I was 16 years old at the Supervalu Store in Chaska, Minnesota, working as a bag boy, and with one of my checks I went out and bought a $70 pillow in 1977," Mike said. "Who does that as a teenager?" In 2004 he got an idea for MyPillow and lo and behold the venture would shape up into his dream company.

Now, students from Parkland Florida including David Hogg are calling for a boycott of Fox News because they don't agree with their views on the right to bear arms and the Second Amendment and that boycott is threatening to spill over into MyPillow. A group called TheResistance Blog is trying to boycott Mike Lindell's dream company simply for the fact that he advertises his one-of-a-kind pillow on Fox News.
This is an affront to everything America stands for and these misguided children are ruining lives with their unjust call to boycott those they don't agree with. Mike even donated 60,000 pillows to Hurricane victims last year when thousands lost their homes in the floods down south. Support MyPillow if you get the chance, the pillow really is worth its weight in gold, especially if you have neck problems that hinder your sleep.
