Ah, from the mouths of babes. The students of Parkland Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are taking a break from railing against the second amendment to protest one safety measure that has been implemented as a result. Apparently, teenagers haven't changed much since I was high school age, the idea that a snarky comeback is equivalent to winning a debate is still an axiom.

The kids are incredibly upset about what they see as a massive invasion of privacy. But imagine if the kids were this concerned about privacy in the real world. Imagine if the Children's Crusade against guns were mounted against important real-world issues like the ridiculous amount of personal information that is constantly being gathered by companies like Google or Facebook. I wonder if they're as concerned about the fact that warrantless wiretaps are recording their cell phone calls. Probably not.

Another issue I find interesting, the kids haven't taken in the cause and effect of what follows gun control in many cases. Joseph Stalin, Idi Amin, Pol Pot and Mao made sure to disarm their populace before instating their authoritarian regime. The same went on in Guatemala, Rwanda and other nations before absolute power was seized "from the barrel of a gun." As Chairman Mao so eloquently put it:

“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”

The kids don't understand that the Bill of Rights begins with the four freedoms. The first amendment right to religion, free speech and peaceable assembly and the fourth amendment right to privacy are protected via the second amendment. "But the NRA is wrong, a bunch of untrained civilians could never take on the US government with the hardware they have lying around." You tell that to the Viet Cong who beat back the full force of US military might until we retreated. You can also go ahead and tell the Afghani cave dwellers who are still giving us a run for our money over a decade and a half now.

David Hogg's younger sister weighed in on the matter via Twitter:

"Today when I walk into school I will be greeted with armed police, wand detectors and clear backpacks. Is this what my high school experience is going to be like? 3 more years of this… Someday when my kids ask me about my high school experience what am I going to tell them?"

Once again an issue with the kids is that they don't see the big picture. Clear backpacks are the greatest of their concerns, really? It starts with gun control and the continuing surveillance by corporations and our own government, where does it end? A far worse place than clear backpacks, that's certain.

Even more priceless, perhaps is the ringleader of the Children's Crusade against the second amendment, David Hogg, who equated clear backpacks with an infringement on his first amendment rights:

“I think after we come back from spring break they’re requiring all of us to have clear backpacks. One of the other important things to realize is many students want their privacy. There are many, for example, females in our school that when they go through their menstrual cycle, they don’t want people to see their tampons and stuff. It’s unnecessary, it’s embarrassing for a lot of the students and it makes them feel isolated and separated from the rest of American school culture where they’re having essentially their First Amendment rights infringed upon because they can’t freely wear whatever backpack they want regardless of what it is. It has to be a clear backpack. What we should have is just more policies that make sure that these students are feeling safe and secure in their schools and not like they’re being fought against like it’s a prison.”

Parkland students have returned to class wearing their MANDATORY clear backpacks.

They demanded everyone's 2nd Amendment rights be taken away & had their 4th Amendment rights reduced as a result.

Welcome to "more government”, children. 👏 pic.twitter.com/6d5TlRoTyZ
— DemExit #2A Supporter (@jetrotter) April 4, 2018

This from someone who wishes to curtail the second amendment (which is in place in order to protect the populace from the others being overrun). Despite the fact that it was an armed officer in Maryland who saved countless lives, the Parkland students were opposed to the idea of using arms as a security measure in schools. Meanwhile, it's interesting that the shooting in Maryland, since it was stopped with the help of the proverbial "good guy with a gun" it doesn't fit the narrative. These kids obviously have some difficulty with the concept of "unintended consequences" or even irony, considering turning clear backpacks into a first amendment issue while arguing to weaken the second.

Sad thing is, once these kids get this brainwashed it tends to only get worse as the years wear on. I was lucky, I went from being an anarchist in my teens to thinking socialism would solve humanity's problems. Honestly, anarchy makes more sense than a globalist bureacracy running things from the top down. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. No amount of "good intentions" will ever change that.

The Bill of Right come as a Complete Package. Maybe the Snowflakes will understand #1, and #2 are allowing them to Whine and claim (incorrectly) # 3 & #4 are being stomped on.

That last pic in DemExit's tweet is so cute with hogg head and his communist boyfriend standing together.

22496 - I disagree if the corrupt are made huge examples of and have all their ill gotten gains stripped that should keep the people WE elect honest. We need to get to a point where being a politician is like joining the service. Do your 4-8 years and go out and do whatever it was b4 you SERVED our country. We should be electing people that want to serve to uphold our constitution not just increase their wealth at our expense, or want to try to fundamentally change our Great country!

Oh? They are all for removing the Second Amendment but when it comes to the First Amendment now they want to cry about their rights? Jesus, the hypocrisy of the left is insane
