The son of Oscar-winning film stars Sean Penn and Robin Wright was arrested Wednesday afternoon for drug possession in Nebraska. A spokesman for the Nebraska State Patrol confirmed 24-year-old Hopper Jack Penn and his 26-year-old girlfriend Uma Von Wittkamp were arrested after a trooper stopped their vehicle east on Interstate 80.
The spokesman also said the trooper suspected drugs were inside the vehicle and upon searching it found 14 grams of marijuana, four amphetamine pills and 3 grams of mushrooms. Penn's girlfriend, Von Wittkamp was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance while Penn received a charge of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

The couple were both charged with felonies for the drugs since possession of a controlled substance is a felony in the state of Nebraska. They were both booked into the Hamilton County Jail. Hopper Penn is the son of Sean Penn who married Robin Wright, an American actress known for roles such as Buttercup from the Princess Bride. Sean Penn is known for his powerful work in films like "Mystic River", "I am Sam", and "Fast Times At Ridgemont High".
Hopper has an acting career of his own starring in such films as "War Machine", "Between Worlds", and "The Last Face". He revealed his struggle with drugs last March in an interview saying, "I was doing a lot of stuff, but meth was the main one that brought me down."

"I went to rehab because I woke up in a hospital and my dad was like, 'Rehab? Or bus bench?' I was like, 'I'll take the bed.' Thank God I got out of that because that was the worst time in my life. Because it’s not fun when it gets to a point where you just need it," Hopper said.
