Events in London are truly taking a turn for the worst now. Last night saw another killing, making it a total of 50 for the city in 2018. This time it was a 78-year-old pensioner who found two armed intruders in his home in Hither Green, south-east London and managed to fight one of them.

The homeowner is understood to have been forced into his kitchen by the burglars and then fought one of them off, leaving him bleeding from injuries to his upper body. The 38-year-old criminal was later on rushed to hospital when emergency services arrived where he died from his wounds two hours later.

A Met Police statement said: "The homeowner suffered bruising to his arms. His injuries are not life threatening. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains at this time. The second suspect in the burglary fled the scene prior to police arrival and remains outstanding. The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate. Enquires are ongoing.”

One of his neighbors, 58-year-old Mr Williams: “It's a very quiet road, normally we do not get police incidents down this road. There are a lot of older people on this road so I was quite surprised to hear about. I've been here 20 years and most people get on with others round here.”

To great public outcry, the pensioner has now been arrested for murder and remains in custody at a south London police station.
Another one of the neighbors, Mr Clem Williams, said: “Why were the men at his house? The man has a right to defend his home. They should let him go.”

Seems to me the ‘older people in this neighborhood ‘ were chosen on purpose-hopefully perp & other perps will not see them as so ‘easy a target.’ Is it bc these were muslims that police behaving as they are? If so, by arresting the victim they are sending the msg to the neighbors - don’t fight don’t protect yourself- & sending msg to the perps ‘come & take!’ SICK & largely bc the population allowed the ‘guilt shaming’ to take place over many decades - so now they are seeing the 2nd maybe 3rd tier of islamic takeover -
There seems to be nothing that makes sense of why they would arrest the victim unless there was an advantage to a certain group of ppl.
