Former Republican presidential candidate and Florida Governor Mr Jeb Bush seemed to mock the current US President’s relationship with his family when he gave a speech Yale University. Mr Bush, the son of former President George H.W. Bush and the brother of former President George W. Bush had been out of the political spotlight for a while. But during his speech at Yale, he stated that when he returned to his family home when the 2016 primary race in South Carolina was run, he was welcomed by children “who actually love me”. Even though Mr Bush didn’t mention Mr Trump, everyone understood the clear reference.
In response, two of President Donald Trump’s sons posted responses on Twitter to the apparent dig, with firstly Mr Donald Trump Jr. stating his love for his father whilst at the same time handing out a shot at Mr Bush in return: “Jeb! I love everything about my father. I love that he’s a fighter, I love that he has guts, I love that he’s President (all those things you’re not).”
“Also love that he learned enough about politics in a few weeks to dismantle you piece by piece despite it being your life’s work.”

The last two words a reference to Mr Bush’s failed GOP nomination bid, when at a certain point he urged the public after a speech he had given to ‘please clap’, a move that basically ended his run.
