California And New York Claim US Census Will Disadvantage Immigrant Communities

The White House Administration plans to hold a countrywide census in 2020 (which is a regular recurring process). However, given that the Trump administration plans to add a citizenship status (and thus ask about it’s indirectly referred legality), certain states claim this would discourage immigrants from participating.

For this reason, several states, headed by New York and California, plan to sue the White House over the planned census to protect their ‘citizens’.

Constitution does not require citizenship question. This is purely political. Trump Administration is trying to rig the 2020 Census (to protect gerrymandering) by intimidating people. Don’t be fooled-some states will unfairly lose funds and representation. In California, state Attorney General Ms Xavier Becerra stated that: "We're prepared to do what we must to protect California from a deficient census."

"Including a citizenship question on the 2020 census is not just a bad idea - it is illegal."

After this message was spread, the state of New York also announced the likelihood of them joining into the legal action (and Massachusetts intends to do likewise).

The US census which is held every ten years has a grave impact on the budget of states. As the population records determine the percentagewise representation in the House of Representatives and have a direct impact on the allocation of funding (and can increase or decrease the amount of state infrastructure projects such as schools, hospitals and roads), their importance is not to be misunderstood.

Critics of the citizenship question have pointed out that this move from a Republican administration could adversely affect urban, left-leaning communities.

STOP !!!! the real reason is simple…

The Liberals want more ILLEGALS Counted because the US Census is used to Assign House of Representative seats and Congressional district maps.

IF only US Citizens are counted then NY. and CA. lose illegally acquired seats. Which reduces a lot of ILLEGAL POWER.
