Cernovich Media has reported that the current National Security Adviser Herbert Raymond H. R. McMaster is manipulating intelligence reports given to President Donald Trump. He is doing so with the intent of selling a ground war in Syria to President Trump. Raymond is reported to be working with the former CIA director David Petraeus.

The National Security Adviser is charged with the responsibility of synthesizing intelligence reports from all other agencies. However, reports indicate that President Trump is being given an inaccurate picture of the situation in Syria. McMaster is seeking to involve the U.S. in a full-scale war in Syria.

Petraeus’ plan intends to have 150,000 American ground troops sent to Syria. Several people are overly concerned about Petraeus intent. Several special operations veterans such as General Joseph Votel have questioned the NSA plans in Syria.

There have also been reports indicating that McMaster is sharing classified information with Petraeus, whose security clearance was revoked a while ago. However, Petraeus’ influence in the NSC remains strong.

Petraeus had been considered for the position of NSA, but he withdrew his name from consideration once McMaster’s name was included on the short-list. The appointment of McMaster’s allowed Petraeus to maintain control over the NSC without bringing his considerable baggage to the position.

The top Middle East adviser in the NSC, Derek Harvey, is said to have close ties with Petraeus and is close with McMaster. McMaster and Harvey are reported to be trying to undermine Joint Chiefs Chairman General Joseph Dunford and Secretary of Defense James Mattis. Mattis and Dunford's support working with our allies in the fight against ISIS. However, Harvey and McMaster are calling for a massive American-only ground force. There are also two other people who don’t support the invasion of Syria: General Mike Flynn and Steve Bannon are against the move.

Steve Bannon’s role within the White House has been weakened by McMaster who demanded that Bannon is removed from his advisory position at NSC. The feud between Jared Kushner and Bannon has had a major fall out in the recent past. McMaster’s plan is facing opposition from both Kushner and Bannon. However, if McMaster and Petraeus have their way, America will find itself in another massive war in Syria.
