Just as the White House Administration starts a trade war with China for a whopping $60bn worth of tariffs, just as President Trump decides to surround himself with protectionist hard-liners like Mr. Peter Navarro on trade or Mr. John Bolton on foreign policy, that is when a globalist like former President Obama’s CIA director Mr. John Brennan feels that the time has come to do the rounds on MSM and accuse the President of supposed links to Russia.
There is an obvious method behind the timing of all this, but still MSNBC was glad to receive him and let Mr. Brennan state: “The fact that he has had this fawning attitude towards Mr. Putin and has not said anything negative about him, it continues to say something to me that he has something to fear and something serious to fear from Russia.”
Purely speculative of course, but MSNBC decided to play along and let Mr Brennan continue: “The Russians may have something on him personally.”
The Russians, he said, “have had long experience of Mr. Trump, and may have things they could expose.”
By the end of the day though, after that passage on MSNBC, Mr. Brennan had to admit in a written response to a question from the New York Times that: “I do not know if the Russians have something on Donald Trump that they could use as blackmail.”

By that time all the MSM already ran with the headline that the Russians might have something on Trump, which according to them, was why Mr. Trump called Mr. Putin to congratulate him even though his staff told him not to (last time his staff told Mr. Trump to do anything he didn’t agree with, let us know please).
There is clear strategy behind another smear campaign just at the moment that even Democratic members of the House are congratulating the US President for choosing for America First over globalism. But the MSM doesn’t mind. They will gladly continue to play along with Mr. Obama’s favorite CIA chief.
