Bannon At Front National Congress: “Worldwide Movement Bigger Than France, Bigger Than Italy”

Steve Bannon, the former White House chief strategist, is currently touring Europe. Last weekend he was in Italy to see the populist parties of the 5-star-movement and the Lega Nord win the elections, midweek he was in Switzerland and Austria, speaking in front of crowds and meeting with the German AfD. This weekend, he’s in France addressing the congress of the National Front and meeting with their leader, Ms Marine Le Pen.

Mr Bannon spoke to the French crowds in English and was simultaneously translated.

Ms Le Pen defended Mr Bannon’s presence at here congress, calling him "the architect of Donald Trump's victory" and someone who can speak about protectionism and redistributing power which "has been practically illegally captured by the elite."
