Sarah Sanders Wants To “Ensure Veterans Can Receive Care Outside Of The VA System”

Even though the mainstream media did not want to discuss anything else but the ongoing tariffs discussion, White House Press Secretary made the point during her opening remarks of the press briefing yesterday to highlight the ongoing effort President Trump is making to ensure America’s veterans are taken care of.

“These men represent the very best of America, and remind us why it’s so important to make sure our great veterans get the care they deserve.”

Marine Sergeant Liam Dwyer, left, and Marine Sergeant John Peck, right, joined @PressSec Sarah Sanders during Monday's briefing. pic.twitter.com/moQlbXDS4J
— Fox News (@FoxNews) March 6, 2018

Ms Sanders stated that: “The President signed an executive order to ensure veterans can receive care outside of the VA system, when needed. He signed into law a bill empowering senior VA officials to fire failing employees who are not taking care of our vets. As a result, accountability is being restored.”

Courage isn’t taking “a question from CNN,” Jim. Courage is combat veterans Sgt. Peck and Staff Sgt. Many veteran organization have acknowledged the current White House Administration’s efforts to foresee in the necessary need for these American heroes.

In order to do so, President Trump has “signed a bill authorizing $2.1 billion in additional funds for the Veterans Choice Program. This program helps vets facing long wait times or long distances from nearby VA facilities by empowering them to receive quality care outside of the VA system.”

“The White House has also set up a VA Hotline, staffed by veterans, to help vets needing assistance and quick answers.”

Ms Sanders concluded by stating that the current measures in place “should leave no doubt that President Trump is serious about taking care of our veterans. They sacrifice so much for us, and we must never let them down.”

Do everything we can for the vets, but keep a close eye on the scheming bureaucrats!
