Oscars Hosted For Smallest Ever Audience

It would seem the Oscar show was held before the smallest ever TV audience. Only some 26.5 million tuned in according to Nielsen data provided to the broadcaster ABC, or a whopping 20 percent down since last year.

Prices for advertising spots on the show had, despite this apparent lack of interest from the public, risen significantly.

Media analysts will certainly be trying to figure out in the next few days where this so-called Oscar fatigue is coming from, but we here at thegoldwater.com are always willing to help fellow media companies and therefore offer the following advice: ‘stop insulting rural America’.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hollywood elites: “Let’s bash gun owners, Fox News, and Trump during the Oscars.”<br><br>Television ratings companies: “Dude, this is worst rated Oscars ever.” <br><br> <a href="https://t.co/AW3xEepTg1">https://t.co/AW3xEepTg1</a></p>&mdash; Dan Bongino (@dbongino) <a href="https://twitter.com/dbongino/status/970783491859337216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 5, 2018</a></blockquote>

Dear Hollywood, if you want to be an industry for all, please realize, just as I said to late night talk show hosts a few weeks ago, that you are insulting half of your public (which is never a good idea).

The industry which buys ads that sponsor your shows and movies will soon come to realize this as well. They think in years when the bean counters make their figures known so their timing lags a bit on the general audience, but we are sure you get the picture. Hoping to see some change soon.

It seems it finally is starting to sink in… Even tho we have been saying it for what?, 5+ years.

Actors and celebrities are not all too dumb to see and understand basic math.

Piss off 60+% of of your Viewers and your income takes a drastic hit.

Follow the Dolly Parton example.

The Hollywood clan has a job and that's to entertain the people. If we wanted to watch a bunch of assholes virtue signal we would have turned on cnn.

The president told jokes the other day that were way more funny than anything the snowflakes have done in the last two years.

Good riddance, maybe we will get a new crew of actors/actresses that don't get paid the millions of bucks just to tell us how they know better.
