A road rage incident is being investigated by the Anoka County sheriff's office after it led to a savage beating for an elderly East Bethel man. The indecent began started in Ham Lake near Broadway and Lexington Avenue and continued onto westbound Crosstown Avenue.
According to a release, the victim had to brake suddenly to avoid a traffic collision in front of him when angered the driver behind him. The man began to drive aggressively and taunt the victim but once the angry driver backed off he went home. Once he got home, he was assaulted by a man who beat him repeatedly in his face and head.
The victim says the beating lasted about a minute after which point the attacker asked the victim if he'd "had enough." The victim received several facial fractures and lacerations which required many stitches. The suspect was described as a white male around 35 years old, 6 feet or taller, and short hair in a "buzzed" style.
He is also described as wearing a longer length leather coat or jacket and likely has injuries to his hands. The authorities also say the suspect's vehicle is described as a newer dark silver or gray vehicle with LED headlights and a line of LED lights just below the headlights similar to a Mustang. It also had tinted windows.
