A second man with ties to a Mesquite Baptist Church has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a child. Larry Allen Winn, 65, was booked into the Mesquite jail Friday on one count of sexual assault of a child with a bail of $100,000. Winn is the father of another man, Steven Aaron Winn, who was booked last week for sexually assaulting a teen girl.
The elder Winn is a Dallas resident who runs the bus ministry at Open Door Baptist Church on South Belt Line Road. The ministry provides children with rides to and from services and Sunday school, according to the church's website. Police did not release any further details regarding the crimes Winn is charged with.
The younger Winn, Steven, 33, was arrested February 22 on three counts of sexual assault of a child in Dallas County. Police say Steven Winn was engaged in a sexual relationship with a female student at the church's Christian Academy for over a year. The relationship started when the girl was 15 and the authorities learned of the relationship February 18.

Steve Winn's bail was set at $375,000 and he faces three counts of sexual assault of a child in Kaufman County. He is currently in Dallas County jail as of Saturday. The church did not comment on the charges and previously said Steven Winn was a volunteer and not an employee.
The younger Winn also worked in Mesquite's public works department for 14 years until he was fired last month. The Open Door Baptist Church was in news recently after Baptist preacher Matt Jarrell was arrested on rape charges. He hung himself two days later in his jail cell.
