Denmark To Issue Double Punishment For Crimes By Immigrants

Denmark proposes to double the punishment for any crime committed in what are dubbed the ‘ghettos’ as the Scandinavian country tries to grapple with the realities of its new ‘immigrant’ population.

The centre-right government said that it’s project called: “One Denmark without parallel societies, no ghettos by 2030” will also reduce benefits for immigrants.

Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen: “The ghettos must disappear. We will take control of who moves. In particularly burdened areas, we will punish criminality extra hard, it needs a historic change in the method in which we deal with these problems.”

The government has previously tried to deal with the ghetto problem but failed at each turn. Now the Prime Minister believes he has a better plan in place.

“We have replaced naivety with realism, passiveness with demands. This effort means problems will no longer go unsolved.”

Many in Scandinavia acted surprised that the approach is also backed by the left-wing Social Democrats, who have really changed their tack.

Just last year, their leader, Ms Mette Frederiksen, said: “I feel sad when I see poor, unemployed people in the US voting for Trump. They are voting for him because they could not find a voice for them in the Democratic party. I need to avoid that in Denmark.”
