State troopers and firefighters chased the dogs for about an hour. everyone was understanding of the first responders care for the dogs and stopped on the freeway. People in the area tried to help as best they could.

In the end, police and residents of a mobile home park were able to catch the dogs and they are now in an animal shelter together.
If their owners do not come to collect them, they will be put up for adoption.

You must kneel down to the ground so they see you and not your knees. When you do that, they will look into your eyes and determine whether you are safe or not. Try that (stooping down and holding out hand and letting dog come to you) if situation recurs. Great job, however, you are heroes, especially cop walking along side the 2 little cuties.
