Thai authorities conducted a raid on Sunday at a local hotel in Pattaya, a seaside resort infamous for its nightlife. Around 43 Russian tourists were then attending the said sex training. Many of them even wore T-shirts reading “sex-animator” with an arrow prominently and naughtily pointing downward.
The participants were interrogated but later allowed to go without charges. The men who ran the course, however, were taken to the local police station.

All the instructors were charged with working without a permit. One was charged with overstaying his visa. Three others were charged with entering the country without passports.
The 10 detainees are still waiting for their trial to start. The Russian embassy is assisting them. If proven guilty, they face paying a fine of up to $3,000, a temporary ban on travel to Thailand and deportation back to Russia.
Pattaya police chief Apichai Krobpet said the tourists had to pay $637 for the course. He said the training organizers came to teach sex education to their countrymen. He was also quick to clarify that the course itself is not illegal.

Among those arrested was controversial self-styled guru Alexander Kirillov, better known as Alex Lesley, a veteran “teacher” of such course. He is also known for having written a number of books on seduction.
Lesley heavily promoted the sex training in Thailand on his website and social media platforms. He also promised “exclusive training” and described Pattaya as “the capital of sex.”

Another high-profile Russian arrested was Anastasia Vashukevich, known as Nastya Rybka, who happened to be Lesley’s co-collaborator and the source of a recent sex scandal in Russia involving an oligarch, top politicians and allegations of bribery.

Lesley for his part has been the subject of rumors saying he is considering running against President Vladimir Putin. However, he is not a registered presidential candidate with the Russian Central Election Commission.
