London Police: “UK Faces Islamist And Far-Right Terrorism”

According to the UK’s outgoing Counterterrorism Police Chief, Mr. Mark Rowley, the country is under threat both from Islamists and Right-wing terrorism. He revealed his forces had "foiled four extreme right-wing terror plots" in the country in 2017 alone.

Mr. Rowley: "Countries around the world face similar challenges from Islamist & Right-Wing Extremism and Terrorism. But I know of no other country better able to confront this threat than the UK."

"The right-wing terrorist threat is more significant and more challenging than perhaps the public debate gives it credit for.”

Although the Islamic terrorist acts have plagued the UK in 2017 (Manchester and London are but two examples), Mr. Rowley wants the public to be aware there is a danger on the side of the far right groups as well.

London based think tank Counterpoint agreed with Mr. Rowley, saying that "Islamic terrorism is decreasing; extreme right terrorism is on its way up,"

Furthermore, it is clear from the rise of populist parties anywhere in Europe that right-wing extremism is a growing threat.

An outlook of the political spectrum in Europe by London based Chatham House said: "Populist extremist parties present one of the most pressing challenges to European democracies."

"These parties share two core features: they fiercely oppose immigration and rising ethnic and cultural diversity; and they pursue a populist 'anti-establishment' strategy that attacks mainstream parties and is ambivalent if not hostile towards liberal representative democracy."

When put in proper prospective the Police only need worry about the ISLAMIC'S, Because the Right is not after the police but the Socialists and Islamic's.
