Romans saw their first snow in years today as the ‘Beast From The East’ (Europe’s very own Polar Vortex which is bringing Siberian temperatures to the west of the ‘old continent’ for the next week) hit the ‘eternal city’ and covered it with a thin white blanket. It made for some lovely pictures.

In Britain, people were told to leave on time from work as heavy snow was bound to interrupt evening traffic.
