It is Sunday here in Europe, and just as in the US, that means morning talk shows where politicians come to pitch their latest ideas and entertainment stars come to plug books, movies or CD’s.
The interview that everyone will be talking about in the UK was the one the BBC’s Andrew Marr had on his self-entitled “the Andrew Marr” show (original I know) with the author of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House”, Mr Michael Wolff.
Wanting to know a bit more about the details mentioned in the book regarding former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair (who got on rather well with former Republican President George W. Bush), Mr Marr stated: “Let me ask you about a few things: Tony Blair, for instance, was absolutely outraged about what you said about him, trying to get a job as part of the Middle East quartet.”

Mr Wolff replied: “Well, let me rush to this, I sat in the White House, on the couch, listening, I wasn’t supposed to overhear this but they were standing right there with Tony Blair and Jared Kushner standing not fifteen feet in front of me when, with Tony Blair, let me choose my words carefully, “sucking up” to Jared Kushner.”
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Michael Wolff has branded Tony Blair a "complete liar" after the former Prime Minister denied trying to get a job in the Trump administration. <a href="https://t.co/IPRMpgXmjk">pic.twitter.com/IPRMpgXmjk</a></p>— UK News (@UKNews) <a href="https://twitter.com/UKNews/status/967749314297716736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 25, 2018</a></blockquote>

Mr Marr: “Because he says, and I quote, this story is a complete fabrication, literally from beginning to end, I’ve never had such conversation in the White House, outside of the White House, with Jared Kushner, or anybody else.”
Mr Wolff: Then I have to say, Tony Blair is a complete liar.
