There's a disturbing case to report involving a pedophile busted with child pornography in Mesa, Arizona, who was also applying for a job with the Arizona Department of Children's Services.
Law enforcement officers say that they began investigating 48-year-old Paul Stanley Sappington after receiving information that someone from his IP address was engaged in the illicit transmission of child pornography videos known to the database of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Detectives with the Mesa Police Department reportedly monitored Sappington's residence for several weeks before they obtained a search warrant for his home.
During the investigation, authorities determined that Sappington was also living in the home with his girlfriend and her three children. The children were 9-years-old, 10-years-old, and 17-years-old.
To make matters worse, Sappington had applied for a job with the Arizona Department of Children's Services to become an investigator with the Human Trafficking Division.
When Mesa Detectives executed a search warrant at his home, they removed several electronic devices, including a laptop with an external hard drive, as reported by<a href="http://www.12news.com/mobile/article/news/crime/man-trying-to-get-hired-as-child-services-investigator-arrested-for-child-porn/75-520553303"> Local NBC 12 </a>.
<a href="http://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/arizona-news/east-valley-man-accused-of-possessing-thousands-of-images-of-child-porn"> KSAV </a>reports that forensics examiners would later discover nearly 2,500 images and videos of child pornography displaying videos of prepubescent children under the age of 15 engaged in sexual abuse by adults.
Sappington was then taken into custody and interrogated by Detectives at which time he confessed that he <i>"knew what he was doing was wrong,"</i> and that he engaged in watching bestiality, which is humans having sexual relations with animals, as well as watching the child pornography on a <i>"daily basis.</i>
It's horrendously terrifying that this man had nearly gained employment with the Department of Children's Services. The Goldwater contacted the Arizona Department of Children's Services who declined to comment.
At that time, Paul Stanley Sappington was charged with <b>ten felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor</b>.

Sappington is now being held on a $150,000 cash bond inside the Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix on 2939 West Durango Street, where he will remain until either bonded out or he appears for trial.
