Masked Gunman Shoots 4, Including 6-Year-Old

Four people were shot late Sunday evening in a parking lot of a popular West Side San Antonio steakhouse. Among the victims is a 6-year-old boy, the other three were adults in their 20's and all four were related.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the 6-year-old was shot in the leg but his injury is not believed to be life-threatening. Two of the victims remain in critical condition.

The shooting occurred as the group waiting outside the Texas Roadhouse in the 2800 block of Cinema Ridge around 8:40 p.m. near Ingram Park Mall.

"We do not believe that this shooting was random," McManus said. "There's details I'm not gonna give out because it's part of the investigation. But, we do not believe it's random."

Witnesses described the suspect opening fire about 15 feet from the front of the restaurant and emptied an entire magazine or roughly 10 bullets with a pistol.

Authorities say the suspect is male and was wearing a mask at the time of the shooting. "The description is so vague I don’t want to even bother giving it out," McManus said. He also said the victims are Hispanic and all remain in the hospital at this time.
